Albania to Join Tariff System

Albania is joining the Harmonized System, which is used as the basis for Customs tariffs and for the compilation of trade statistics around the world.
The Harmonized System Convention will enter into force in Albania on January 1, 2014, according to the World Customs Organization, which also says more than 98% of international merchandise trade is classified this way.
Albania is located in south eastern Europe, bordering the Adriatic Sea and Ionian Sea, between Greece in the south and Montenegro and Kosovo to the north. Its principal export commodities include clothing, footwear and textiles.
