The Intimate Apparel Square Club (IASC), and leaders in fashion and retail gathered at 230 FIFTH on November 7 for the 2012 H.U.G. Awards Gala.
The event helped raise funds for pediatric services at Rusk Rehabilitation (Rusk) and Tisch Hospital, part of the Hassenfeld Pediatric Center at NYU Langone Medical Center.
The H.U.G. Awards honored former Payless ShoeSource President and CEO LuAnn Via, who has taken the post of President and CEO of Christopher & Banks, shapewear company Rago Foundations and its Chairman Steven Chernoff, and former longtime VF Corporation executive Janet Peters.
Adding glamour and excitement to the event were designer Christian Siriano, who presented the H.U.G. Award to LuAnn Via, actress Isabelle Fuhrman, who played the villainous Clove in “The Hunger Games,” and Jené Luciani, the fashion expert, TV personality and author of “The Bra Book,” who hosted the ceremony. Ms. Fuhrman and Ms. Luciani wore Christian Siriano gowns and gold glitter Christian Siriano for Payless pumps.
Ms. Peters’ longtime colleague at VF Corp. Paul Charron presented her lifetime achievement award and Roslyn Harte of Lances Harte presented the H.U.G. Award to Rago Foundations Chairman Steven Chernoff.
The event carried the theme “An Enchanted Evening” and featured a silent auction, which included Christian Siriano Payless collections, among many exciting bid items, as well as a live auction at the close of the ceremony.
