I’m always struck by the challenge of photographing lingerie. By the time you get far enough away to see an entire garment, you can lose sight of the details that make it truly spectacular.
Here are some of my favorite details from Lingerie Fashion week and CurveNY A/W14.
Kix’ies Thigh Highs, Lingerie Fashion Week
Using contortionists and acrobats to demonstrate the product’s ability to stay up. Brilliant!
Arsenic et Vielles Dentelles, Lingerie Fashion Week
Although not in the line sheets, this juxtaposition of soft materials and bondage intent was a delightful and fun take on lingerie-as-fetishwear (or vice versa).
Dirty Pretty Things, CurveNY
The gold leather manages to make this piece somehow 80s and 20s at the same time.
Simone Perele, CurveNY
The pretty velvet bow, the eyelash lace details, the oh-so on trend purple. I just adored the attention to detail here.
Prima Donna Twist at CurveNY
Handcuff embellishments? That ain’t your mama’s Prima Donna!
Celebrating 5 years of seamless molded lace technology, Empreinte is offering a special bonus with the purchase of these limited edition bras – the guipure detachable back piece. A true showstopper.
Cleo by Panache, CurveNY
“Crafted for fit. Styled for fun.” The Kali bra by Cleo has a hidden message for its wearers.
Sometimes the best details are fleeting – this image was captured from the Lingerie Fashion Week site. The City and its gorgeous lingerie was the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
