Well, the day that this goes out, I will be heading to the Detroit area to do my annual 60-mile walk over the next three days. I am excited, as usual, and still accepting donations, as usual! If you are interested in donating, please head to Mamalitia.org and select the name of a walker, then click “donate!” There’s a minimum of $5 for donations, and every cent counts! Thanks in advance!
It seems like just as I am catching up from my trip to Curve in NYC, I am getting ready to go on another trip, but that is the story of my life! I have two more trips (after Detroit) to go between now and September, so it’ll be interesting to see what kind of catch up I’ll be playing then! By the way, if you are a boutique or manufacturer in Detroit, Chicago, Denver (or actually anywhere between Milwaukee and Denver, as it’s a road trip!), Laguna Beach, Los Angeles, or Las Vegas, and you would like me to come and visit your operation, please send me a message! Perhaps I can feature you in an issue of Lipgloss & Lace!
While most of the time I was in NYC was spent modeling for the show and doing makeup for the show,
I also had some other adventures! I got to go to Make Up For Ever and get some gratis, which was exciting, and I did my very first hand modeling shoot!

But what may have been the best part was going to the Double Divas Season Two Launch Party! Cynthia, Molly, and the production crew from the show were there to watch the premier of the second season of their show, which is a reality show about bra fitting and the adventures of owning a lingerie boutique (theirs is called LiviRae, after their daughters’ nicknames!).
The party was on Broadway, right near the flatiron building (coincidentally, directly across the street from where my hand modeling shoot was!), and was a blast! In addition to the cast and crew members, it was well-attended by supportive members of the lingerie industry, such as Greg from Va Bien, Michael Rabinowitz of Maison Lejaby, Tia Lyn (of Tia Lyn Lingerie) and Levan Tat, the president and CEO of Golyta International (which is probably most familiar to you as their main brand, iCollection, but also is the big sister to Tia Lyn Lingerie, as well as the new upscale but sassy line Hauty, who is the naughty little sister who gets away with everything)!
The ladies were fun and friendly, and I look forward to seeing another season of them helping spread the message that every woman can have a bra that fits properly – there is no one that is too
big or small! I also like that people can get an idea of what it is like to work in a lingerie store, and that it is not always as glamorous as
one might think!
Here are some photos from the party, as well as a video recap and interview with Molly and Cynthia!
