Hopefully, wherever you are is getting better weather than Milwaukee!

If not, and you are looking for something to heat things up, I have just the brand to profile!

Have you ever heard of Daisy Corsets? Either way, read on!

While they do make many BEAUTIFUL corsets, that is not all this amazing brand has to offer. They also offer beachwear, and those styles are available from sizes XS-XL, which is a great range!

Even better is that most of the rest of their collection, which includes lingerie, corsets that can be worn as outerwear, and of course, a wide variety of corsets, is available in a size range that goes up to six 6X. Baci Lingerie’s newest collections were met with positive reviews at the 2014 International Lingerie Show (ILS), held at the Rio Hotel Convention Center in Las Vegas, March 31 – April 2.
The International Lingerie Show features sexy merchandise, from apparel and lingerie to jewelry, foot and headwear, and accessories.

Baci products were on display across 50 linear feet of booth space with a stunning black and white booth design, and showcased the official debuts of several new collections. Retailers and visitors alike commented on the impressive display, its novel approach to differentiating the two distinct focuses of the luxury lingerie company’s offerings, and the
beautiful, interactive models showcasing Baci’s ILS offerings.
Baci Lingerie premiered the first styles from Fetish by Baci within the black section of its monochromatic booth. Fetish by Baci offers high-end fetish wear for women looking to spice up their lingerie collection, and to express a wilder side of their sexuality. Baci Lingerie further celebrated the launch of Fetish by Baci by holding a fetish-themed semi-annual appreciation dinner Sunday, March 30, at Rio Hotel and Casino restaurant, Buzio’s. The dinner allowed Baci and all retail partners, buyers, and distributors to
meet and share ideas with other storeowners on the marketing and merchandising of the Baci line, with many looking forward to incorporating Fetish by Baci into their retail displays, as they introduce customers to the world of fetish.

The white sections of Baci Lingerie’s ILS booth featured additional new collections, including costumes and matching hosiery from Dreams and the White Label: Seduction collection. Baci’s Lash Bar also gave ILS attendees a chance to get glam’d up with Baci’s extensive collection of natural-look, glamour, and novelty Baci Eyelashes, providing “Glamour in the Blink of an Eye,” with many remarking on the attractive Point-of-Sale display and its ability to assist retailers with accessory suggestions for consumers purchasing lingerie.
The first two collections from the luxurious, steel-boned corset line, Corsets by Baci, were also presented to attendees. Currently shipping from all distribution partners to retailers, the line transports erotic fashion “From the Bedroom to the Boardroom.” Retailers commented on the beauty and construction of the line, particularly on the use of steel boning at a consumer-conscious price point.

Baci Lingerie also premiered twenty items from its new, dedicated hosiery line; its first specialized grouping, After Dark Hosiery. The line offers a refreshed look at popular styles from Baci’s Black Label.

Fab Foundations: A First-Timer’s Look At ILS

This month, I’d like to tell you about my first time.

At ILS, of course. (What did you think I meant?!?)

Yes, it was my maiden voyage to the International Lingerie Show, and it was a fantastic experience. Of course, many things that were new to me were old hat for many — being offered a “piece of ass” at the Erotic Chocolates booth, seeing models garbed solely in glittery appliques at Xotic Eyes and Body Art, and the frenzied rush for front row seats and giveaways at the fashion show.

As I prepared for the show, I really didn’t know what to expect, given the stories shared with me, courtesy of the McPete Sez Newsletter team, Tia Lyn and iCollection’s Tony Lam.

While much of what I experienced was right in line with what I expected, there were a number of surprises that greeted me at the show.


Coquette

Focus on Plus.

I loved seeing the number of brands that offered a wide range of product for full figured women. A lot of the booths not only had the products but also put real effort into making them more flattering to a curvier form. Coquette and Baci were just a couple of the brands that went out of their way to emphasize the importance of inclusiveness in their lines.

Because, Science.

While there has always been a crossover between sex and health, I didn’t expect the science-forward approach that some vendors used to sell at the show. I saw vegan and organic lube from Sinclair Institute. The fine folks at Revel Body presented charts, graphs and math to illustrate performance data in relation to the competition. I certainly didn’t anticipate discussing the technology that allowed the Svakom “Gaga” camera vibe to simultaneously vibrate and record a steady image.

Warm Welcome

From the time I arrived until the moment I left, the people at ILS were friendly, fun, and inclusive. I felt welcomed and as a result, truly felt the warmth of the environment. (And we’re not talking about the weather. Rain in Vegas? Really??) Several vendors mentioned that this was a particularly great show, and that the number and size of the orders written was an indication that the industry is headed in a positive direction. Just as a negative outlook on business can create its own self-fulfilling prophesy, a positive outlook can be carried into stores, into conversations with customers and translate into sales. Let’s hope that continues to be the case across the board.
