The past meets the present in the AW14 Panache collection, which is inspired by European folklore, a tale of desire and romance, and a renewed interest in traditional arts and handicrafts. Tapestry style prints mixed with traditional florals feature heavily throughout the collection amongst a color palette of gold, jet black, exquisite plum, ink blue and deep scarlet.
The Panache designer sites the stylist Catherine Babe and the fashion designer Ulyana Sergeenko as inspiration for this very special AW14 collection, while runway designers who inspired include Oscar De La Renta, Kate Spade, Moschino, Valentino and Erdem.
Porcelain Viva, the popular fashion range returns for AW14 in a charcoal grey with a delicate powder pink contrast embroidery and bow. The pretty embroidery trim and jacquard outer fabric ensures
that Porcelain Viva continues to be a fashionable everyday range. The Andorra range is one of Panache’s best selling fashion ranges and returns this season in full and plunge styles in a deep scarlet which gives this style a delicate, romantic and feminine feel.
Floris returns in a new print inspired old masters florals with a modern day twist in a strong grey and red colorway. The printed geometric Swiss embroidery top cup in a graphic design provides
depth and detail for a unique style. Tango remains the corner pin of the Panache collection and this season the balconnet style comes in a scarlet ombre with the signature embroidery leaf detail.
Based on the Tango range, Tango Accenti gives the same great support but with a touch of glamour and continues this season in sumptuous mulberry colorway.
The animal influence continues for AW14 with the best selling Jasmine balconnet bra being available in a leopard print design and also a black ricamo floral design, inspired by the folklore and hand vme down traditions. design in a sumptuous navy and magenta floral.
Porcelain Idina, a popular core style, makes its first foray into fashion in a pink base with an all over navy floral lace. The moulded cup with flange gives a better appearance for a natural smooth shape under clothes. Another core style appears in a new colorway for AW14 – Envy’s balconnet, brief and high waisted brief range all
appear in a deep cassis shade. Envy Body is a new addition for AW14. This bra-sized body offers the same shape and support at the Envy bra but has power mesh at the front, back and sides for
control and has a black lace brief section for a luxurious finish.

Cleo’s AW14 inspiration is all about the ‘excite’ trend, and looks at a chaotic mixture of florals and geometrics with a very modern and yet fresh look. Inspiration was taken from the catwalks, especially designers Marc Jacobs, Mara Hoffman and Anna Sui who demonstrated how these unusual combinations can create exciting new looks. Print and pattern combinations, oversized bow detail,
embroideries and glitter trims all feature in the Cleo by Panache AW14 collection.
AW14 also sees the introduction of new sizes for the Cleo by Panache collection, with many key styles now starting from B and C cups. Product Manager, Alysha Taylor states ‘We have introduced
B and C cups to Cleo due to huge demand from our export market who wanted to see an expansion of the Cleo brand; we see the new sizes as complimentary to the current D+ range our portfolio offers. ‘
New to this season is Kali, a pretty new embroidery range with a scattered heart design on a sheer base net in a bright neon lime colorway to offer a fun pop of color for AW14. The design is finished with a contrast bright orange grosgrain bow trimming. The balconnet bra shape is based on the best selling Lucy shape but with further improvements such as lined bottom cups to make it an even better fit all the way up to a J cup. The Kali brief is a new shape with cute gather back detailing and frills on the legs.
Favorite Cleo styles return for AW14 with a boost of color and also an array of new sizes. For the first time ever, designer favorite Nyla is available from a B cup and will this season be available in a teal based floral print with a pretty pink shade of embroidery, inspired by
flirty florals and fun geometrics. Juna will now be available from a C cup and features a subtle matt and shine effect animal print in a fun teal colorway. A quirky grosgrain bow in contrasting pinks adds a girly touch. Neve returns in a vivid deep blue and a decorative trim and spot jacquard strapping. Neve also continues to be available in
black, nude and a strapless style.
Maddie’s well loved and trusted balconnet bra is this season available from a B cup in a bright raspberry colorway with a printed check lime bow detail. Lily is also available form a B cup and this season sees a burst of color with a lime and charcoal colorway. Inspired by the trend for unusual repeat prints on the AW14, Lily has a quirky swan print for this season with a double bow detailing. The three piece laminated balconnet cups and cradle offer support and fit up to a J cup.
Izzy is a new balconnet bra based on the popular Melissa, Ellis and Minnie styles, available from a B cup. Inspired by the AW14 trend for mix and match florals, delicate floral embroidery with bright strawberry pink edging has been designed to create an unusual contrast to the ditzy multi colored star print. The 3 section balconnet cup and cradle offer great support and fit up to a J cup.
Jolie is a new range available from a B cup, based on the trusted darted padded balconnet bra block of AW13’s Jessie. Using an unusual color combination straight off the catwalks, Jolie features a quirky and fun embroidery made up of bows in raspberry and orange shades on a charcoal base. SS14’s best seller Minnie returns in a
beautiful monochrome colorway and from a B cup upwards.
Another best selling collection, Marcie is now available from a B cup and in a rich raspberry colorway across the bra, brief and babydoll
pieces. Maddie Pop is available in a new exclusive print inspired by multi color animal prints in a B cup upwards.

I’m always struck by the challenge of photographing lingerie. By the time you get far enough away to see an entire garment, you can lose sight of the details that make it truly spectacular.
Here are some of my favorite details from Lingerie Fashion week and CurveNY A/W14.
Kix’ies Thigh Highs, Lingerie Fashion Week
Using contortionists and acrobats to demonstrate the product’s ability to stay up. Brilliant!
Arsenic et Vielles Dentelles, Lingerie Fashion Week
Although not in the line sheets, this juxtaposition of soft materials and bondage intent was a delightful and fun take on lingerie-as-fetishwear (or vice versa).
Dirty Pretty Things, CurveNY
The gold leather manages to make this piece somehow 80s and 20s at the same time.
Simone Perele, CurveNY
The pretty velvet bow, the eyelash lace details, the oh-so on trend purple. I just adored the attention to detail here.
Prima Donna Twist at CurveNY
Handcuff embellishments? That ain’t your mama’s Prima Donna!
Celebrating 5 years of seamless molded lace technology, Empreinte is offering a special bonus with the purchase of these limited edition bras – the guipure detachable back piece. A true showstopper.
Cleo by Panache, CurveNY
“Crafted for fit. Styled for fun.” The Kali bra by Cleo has a hidden message for its wearers.
Sometimes the best details are fleeting – this image was captured from the Lingerie Fashion Week site. The City and its gorgeous lingerie was the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Remember Whitney Thompson from America’s Next Top Model? She won back in 2008 and was the first plus-size winner in the history of the show.
She is the new face of Panache’s lingerie line. The size 16, 26-year-old model poses for the retro style photo shoot, wearing a bright purple bra and bikini underwear in a pink ’50s style diner.
She dons a fierce cat eye, voluminous hair and a pretty pale pink lip. And in one photo she sits underneath an old-fashioned hair dryer wearing nothing but hair rollers and a bright pink lingerie set.
Whitney’s modeling career is about more than just selling clothes. The size-16 beauty has made it her mission to help prove that you don’t need to be a size zero to confidently embrace your body.
And so it makes perfect sense that she would choose this lingerie line to model for. Instead of sending the message that plus-size models should cover up, or “focus on playing up their facial features,” Whitney encourages embracing your whole body.
