2013 STOREROTICA Awards’ Official Pre-nom Site Launches


Leading adult retail trade publication will again present Annual STOREROTICA Awards at the ANME Founders Show on July 15, 2013; Awards event hosted by Dr. Sadie Allison.
For the third straight year, STOREROTICA Magazine, the leading, national trade publication for the owners and operators of adult retail stores and lingerie boutiques, has partnered with the producers of the Adult Novelty Manufacturers Expo (ANME) as event host for the 2013 STOREROTICA Awards Show. Held at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport on July 13-15, the annual ANME Founders Show will once again feature the top brands in the adult toy and novelty industry. In addition to the awards gala being held on the evening of July 15th, STOREROTICA will be providing press coverage for adult retail store owners and buyers. Set to host the SE awards this year is author Dr. Sadie Allison, founder of Tickle Kitty, Inc.
“No other convention represents pleasure products better than the ANME Founders Show,” says Kristofer Kay, Editor of STOREROTICA. “Since buyers and vendors rarely get the chance to congregate like they do here, the STOREROTICA Awards once again strengthens this bond by honoring those who represent the best in the industry. Recognizing excellence in the adult retail community, the STOREROTICA Awards lauds those in both the brick and mortar storefront, distributing and manufacturing levels. This year, 10 categories will be honored, including “Novelty Company of the Year,” “Distributor of the Year”, “Hot Product of the Year” and “Retailer of the Year” (chain locations), among others. The pre-nominating site is currently open to industry professionals. The Final STOREROTICA Awards Ballot will be featured online only beginning in May.
Allison is author and publisher of the popular line of fun, informative, how-to sex-help books available to adult retailers. Her best-selling books include “Tickle His Pickle,” “TOYGASMS!” “Ride ‘Em Cowgirl!,” “Tickle Your Fancy” and her newest, “Tickle My Tush.” Each has won the coveted Independent Publisher’s Best Sexuality Book Award (IPPY), and together they’ve sold more than two million copies. Industry trade publication’s 6th Annual Awards presentation honored the adult retail industry’s sexiest creations at the International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas.
STOREROTICA Magazine wrapped up its bi-yearly awards presentations on September 10th at the International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas. Honoring the best from the intimate apparel portion of the adult retail industry, the 6th Annual STOREROTICA Awards took place during the International Lingerie Show’s famed opening night fashion gala. Nearly 1,000 guests from ILS packed the lavish
 reception area, where they enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while STOREROTICA Editor, Kristofer Kay, presented the seven awards.
“This is the second year this allocation of the STOREROTICA Awards has been part of ILS, and it’s only helped add to the esteem
 of these awards,” says Kay. “We’d like to thank Micheal Moreira and Jeff Yunis of Specialty Trade Shows for graciously inviting STOREROTICA to be a part of their festivities once again, as well as salute everyone who attended and congratulate the winners and nominees.”
Chosen online by the readership at StoreroticaAwards.com and editorial staff of STOREROTICA, the 6th Annual STOREROTICA Awards honored the best in intimate apparel. This year, seven categories were presented, including mainstay categories such as “Lingerie Manufacturer of the Year’ (presented to Coquette), “Dancewear Manufacturer of the Year” (Espiral Lingerie) and “Sexy Shoe Manufacturer” ( Ellie Shoes). In addition, Canadian manufacturer Allure Lingerie took home STOREROTICA’s Special Focus Award (this year honoring the corset division), while CastleMegastore.com was recognized as “Online Retailer of the Year.”
“Comapred to the toy side of the industry, intimate apparel is by far a more concise and specialized sector and the competition is always tough,” says Kay. “ Seeing that newer manufacturers are being nominated alongside those veteran companies reflects not only where intimate apparel is headed, but just how resilient it remains.”
