Dan and Shay Martin of Vibratex to be Recognized at XBIZ Awards

Thank you so much!  “We are delighted and humbled”

Dan and Shay Martin will be recognized this evening, January 12, at the 2017 XBIZ Awards with the Pioneer Award.

One of the industry’s most prestigious honors, the Pioneer Award recognizes company figures who have had a profound impact on the industry through vision, innovation and courage, and continue to provide a guiding light for those who came after them.

Dan and Shay would like for all Vibratex customers and all their friends in the industry to know how grateful and humbled they are.

“We are so touched by this generous recognition, and we want to thank our friends and customers in the industry from the bottom of our hearts,” says Shay Martin, who started helping out in the family business during her high school years, and has served as Vice President since 1999.

To this day, Vibratex continues to be a second-generation, family-owned company, based in Napa, Calif. The company prides itself on its unique, thoughtfully crafted pleasure pieces and on its long-standing dedication to product quality and consumer satisfaction.
Vibratex rose to fame over 30 years ago by introducing America to the blended-orgasm vibrator (today, the Rabbit Habit Original Deluxe).

Later, the company was instrumental in saving the iconic Magic Wand massager not once but twice. First, when Hitachi had stopped sales to the US market, and then a second time when the Japanese company decided to remove its name from the Magic Wand.

More recently, Vibratex brought the cordless Magic Wand Rechargeable to consumers, together with Hitachi. Vibratex remains the sole importer to North America of the Magic Wand.

In addition to their work with Vibratex and Magic Wand branded products, Dan and Shay have supported people coming into industry, and have helped new brands get off the ground, like We-Vibe and Jimmyjane.

“We’ve seen such wonderful change in our industry over the years,” reflects Shay Martin.

“The empowerment of women, greater openness about sexuality, acceptance of others and so many amazing products brought about by innovation and thinking outside the box. But one thing that has not changed is the fact that we all support each other in this business and are like a big family. For that we are continually grateful,” she concludes.

The 2017 Pioneer Award recipients will be honored on January 12 during an on-screen segment at the adult industry’s biggest night, the 2017 XBIZ Awards show at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. Other Pioneer Award recipients this year are Ron Cadwell of CCBill, Kelly Holland of Penthouse and Larry Garland of Eldorado.
